House & Community Guidelines

House Rules

This home was created with care and love, we kindly ask the same from you during
your stay, by reading and following the house rules below.

• Smoking in any form (incl. e-cigarettes and vaping) is only allowed on the balcony, smoking is not allowed inside the apartment. Do nthrow cigarette butts over the balcony, it’s dangerous due to artificial grass below and inconsiderate to neighbors. Please always use the ashtray provided.
• Use of drugs (including marijuana) is strictly prohibited.
• Do not throw parties or events.
• We kindly ask you to not move the tv or sit on the tables (including the orange sidetable), the tables are not built to carry a lot of weight.
• Very important: never sit on the TV cabinet, not even briefly. This can be dangerous and cause serious damage. The wall behind it is made of pladur (drywall), and pressure could lead (in the worst case) to the entire wall collapsing, which could result in very costly repairs for you and personal injury.
• To help keep our beautiful light-colored sofa clean and fresh, we kindly ask you to use the throw blanket or a towel when sitting down — especially if you’re sweaty or have applied sunscreen or tanning spray.
• Please avoid sitting on the furniture while wet; take a moment to dry off first. Thank you for helping us keep this space nice and comfortable — both for future guests and for when you (hopefully!) return.
• Very important: make sure there’s nothing (no objects, towels, toys…) on the grey threshold on the terrace when closing the shutters. If something blocks the track, the shutters will break and the repair costs are expensive.
• Important — parents please read: the decorative wall rug in the living room may look playful, but it’s not meant to be touched or played with. It’s securely mounted, but if pulled on, it could loosen and in the worst case cause (part of) the wall to collapse, which can seriously injure your child and damage the apartment. Please make sure children don’t touch it, for their own safety and for the preservation of the home.
• Always lock the front door with the key when leaving — simply closing it is not enough. Please also lock the balcony door by pushing the latch down whenever you leave the apartment.
• Please, for the environment and our electricity bill, switch off the air conditioning or heating when leaving the apartment. Our system is very-high quality and cools down or warms up the space within minutes — so there’s no need to leave it running while you're away.
• Imagine cooling or heating the entire Costa del Sol — that’s what our system will (unsuccessfully) try to do if doors or windows are left open. Please keep all windows & doors closed when using the air conditioning or heating. It’s better for the planet, and much more effective too.
• Please do not put any type of soap, liquid or detergent in the dishwasher. It only works with dishwasher tablets. Using liquid soap will break the machine and repairs are expensive.
• Be extra careful with the lamp next to the TV, it's very fragile and not child-proof.
• Please don’t use white towels to remove makeup or clean shoes — they’re for personal use only. A full pack of makeup/cleaning wipes costs less than €2 at any local supermarket — and they work much better too!
• Please use the provided table protectors for hot pans, and preferably also for glasses to avoid stains.
• Please don’t adjust the boiler settings.
• If it rains, we’d really appreciate it if you could bring the outdoor cushions inside.
• Treat the apartment with care and leave it clean and tidy, just as you found it. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Community Rules

To ensure a pleasant stay for all residents, we kindly ask you to follow the community
rules of our urbanization during your stay. Below you find the most important rules.

Smoking
• Smoking in any form (cigarettes, cigars, vapes...) is only allowed on your private balcony. Smoking is not permitted in the pool area or any communal spaces.

Pool rules
• Showering before swimming is mandatory.
• No glass or open cups allowed around the pool — only plastic or metal.
• Snacks are allowed, but please clean up after yourself. Don’t eat or drink when you’re in the pool.
• Children under 12 must always be supervised by an adult.
• Children who are not potty-trained must wear swimming nappies.
• No large inflatables, and toys only for children.
• Rough play, diving, or running is not allowed for safety reasons. It’s not allowed to ‘reserve’ sunbeds with towels.
• No loud music — use headphones.

Gym
• Please put the equipment back in place after use.
• Weights must not leave the gym. Use a towel and clean the equipment after use.
• Please wear sportswear and clean shoes — no flip-flops or bare feet.
• Wet clothes/swimwear are not allowed.
• No loud music — use headphones.
• Children under 12 are not allowed, unless supervised by an adult.

Co-working space
• Keep it clean and tidy.
• No bathing suits or wet clothes allowed.
• Please speak quietly and respect others working.
• Children under 12 are not allowed in the co-working space, even if accompanied by an adult.

General
• Be considerate of neighbors.
• Please respect the quiet hours from 22:00 – 08:00.
• Do not leave personal items or trash in hallways or other shared areas.
• Please do not hang clothes, towels or bedding over the terrace railings — a drying rack is available in the apartment for your convenience.
• Feel free to play music on the balcony, as long as it’s at a respectful volume for our neighbors.
• Only use your own private parking spot (#26) in the underground garage. Street parking in front of the residence is free and available for guests.

Failure to comply with the house and community rules may result in (partial) withholding of your security deposit, plus any additional costs for damages, extra cleaning, or disruptions.
