The Casa Calma supermarket guide: easy, local and stress-free

A good holiday doesn’t start with sightseeing.
It starts with ease.

Knowing where to buy breakfast, water, snacks, and dinner ingredients without turning it into a project makes everything feel lighter from day one. Casa Calma is perfectly positioned for that kind of convenience (whether you want to grab something quickly or do a full weekly shop).

This is your simple, no-stress guide.

The small supermarket just steps from Casa Calma | 2 minute walk

One of the most appreciated details by guests is that there is a small supermarket just about 150 metres from the apartment.

This is your go-to for:

  • fresh bread in the morning
  • milk, yoghurt, fruit
  • water, snacks, ice cream
  • forgotten essentials

Because it’s so close, you don’t need to plan. You can walk there in minutes, even in flip-flops.

Perfect for: breakfast, basics & essentials

Carrefour | The largest supermarket, lots of variety and international products | 10 minute drive

Carrefour is ideal if you like choice. It's a very large supermarket with some local Spanish shops located next to it.

You’ll find:

  • international brands
  • large selection of packaged foods
  • household items
  • everything in one place
  • fresh fish, vegetables & fruits and meat

This is especially useful for families or longer stays when you want to do one big shop and be done. Personally, this is our favorite supermarket to go to.

Mercadona is Spain’s most popular supermarket chain and for a good reason.

It’s known for:

  • excellent fresh (Spanish) products
  • high-quality meat and fish
  • ready-made meals
  • great value for money

If you want to shop like a local and stock the fridge properly for a few days, this is a good choice.

Local bakeries, butchers & specialty shops

Beyond supermarkets, the area also has:

  • local bakeries for fresh bread and pastries
  • butchers for higher-quality meat
  • small specialty shops for olives, cheese, and wine

These are perfect if you enjoy slower mornings and terrace lunches/dinners made from local good ingredients.

The Casa Calma grocery rhythm

Most guests naturally fall into this rhythm:

  • arrival day: small supermarket nearby
  • first full day: one larger shop
  • during the week: quick walk for fresh bread or fruit

Convenience matters more than people realize. When groceries are easy, everything else feels easier too.

Casa Calma offers exactly that: a small shop right nearby, larger supermarkets within a short drive, and the freedom to eat how and when you want.

Book Casa Calma and enjoy a stay where even the practical details feel effortless.
